The project

Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM) originally approached ASH to help them redesign an existing 3-wire strain gauge load cell amplifier to increase accuracy and add extra functionality. We replaced a tricky-to-calibrate analogue-based design and redesigned it to have state-of-the-art noise and accuracy performance, together with excellent signal processing capability for linearising the output of a load cell. The design needed to be robust and reliable due to the extreme conditions DLM’s customers place their shear pins.
